How Dolphin documents wearer photos
To make each before-and-after comparison fair and meaningful, we follow the same protocol every time.
How Dolphin documents wearer photos compares step, what we do, why it matters. Same camera. What we do: Every photo in a pair is taken on the same aura camera; Why it matters: Different cameras translate readings into color differently. Same place. What we do: Same room, lighting, and background; Why it matters: Keeps the setting consistent. Same time of day. What we do: Both photos at the same hour; Why it matters: Energy and skin conductance naturally shift through the day. Same routine. What we do: The wearer rests for a few minutes beforehand and keeps food, caffeine, and activity similar; Why it matters: Reduces differences that come from the day itself. Before photo. What we do: Taken before the wearer begins wearing their piece; Why it matters: The starting point. Daily wear. What we do: The wearer charges their piece and wears it daily; Why it matters: Gives the piece time to become part of their life. After photo. What we do: Taken after a set period of wear, such as three weeks; Why it matters: Shows the wearer’s state after living with the piece. No editing. What we do: Photos are published exactly as the camera produced them; Why it matters: Keeps every image honest. Consent. What we do: Each wearer gives written permission to share their photos and words; Why it matters: Respects every wearer’s privacy.
