Your Quantum Dolphin is designed to be worn and treasured. These simple steps will help protect its finish, stones, and structure.
Caring for your piece
Your Quantum Dolphin needs very little. The most important habit is simple: keep it dry. Take it off before showering, bathing, swimming, or working out. Water and sweat dull the silver, and water is especially hard on the lapis lazuli.
When you take it off, give both sides a quick wipe with a soft, dry cloth, moving gently around the crystals.
If it ever looks dull, polish the smooth silver lightly with a silver polishing cloth, keeping the cloth off the crystals.
A few more things to keep in mind:
- Keep it out of long, direct sunlight, which can fade the amethyst.
- Put it on after your perfume, lotion, and sunscreen have dried.
If the silver ever looks a little yellow or gray, that's natural tarnish. A few light strokes with a silver polishing cloth will bring it back.
A note on the magnets
Your Quantum Dolphin contains sealed magnets, so its chain may cling to the pendant now and then. Ease it away gently. Store the pendant on its own, away from other jewelry and cards with magnetic strips. If you have a pacemaker or another implanted medical device, check with your doctor before wearing any piece that contains magnets.
Where to keep it
If you live somewhere humid or near the coast, seal it in a small zip bag with an anti-tarnish strip when you're not wearing it, and keep it in a drawer. Never store it in the bathroom, where steam speeds tarnish.
If you'd like to keep it on your altar, choose a spot out of direct sunlight and away from candle flames, and rest it on a soft cloth or a selenite plate, a little apart from other metal pieces. Silver tarnishes a little faster in open air, so give it a light polish now and then.
Cleansing its energy
To energetically cleanse and recharge your Quantum Dolphin, rest it under the light of the full moon overnight, or lay it on a selenite crystal or plate. Both are gentle and never touch the silver. If you use moonlight, move it before the morning sun reaches it.
