Your Rainbow Vortex is designed to be worn and treasured. These simple steps will help protect its finish, stones, and structure.
Caring for your piece
Your Rainbow Vortex needs very little. The most important habit is simple: keep it dry. Take it off before showering, bathing, swimming, or working out. Water dulls the resin's glossy surface and can reach any exposed copper.
When you take it off, give the resin a quick wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to clear fingerprints.
If it ever looks smudged, breathe lightly on the resin to fog it, then wipe again in small, gentle circles.
A few more things to keep in mind:
- Keep it out of long, direct sunlight and heat, such as a sunny windowsill or a hot car. Sun can yellow the resin and fade the amethyst at the crown, even through resin.
- Keep perfume, alcohol, and household cleaners away from it, since they can cloud the resin.
- Put it on after your perfume, lotion, and sunscreen have dried.
Any exposed copper may darken into a warm patina over time, a natural sign of a piece that's worn and loved.
Where to keep it
If you live somewhere humid or near the coast, keep it in a soft pouch in a drawer, away from damp air. Never store it in the bathroom.
If you'd like to keep it on your altar, which the 60 mm size is made for, choose a spot out of direct sunlight and away from candle flames, and rest it on a soft cloth or a selenite plate. Dust it gently with a microfiber cloth now and then.
Cleansing its energy
To energetically cleanse and recharge your Rainbow Vortex, rest it under the light of the full moon overnight, or lay it on a selenite crystal or plate. Both are gentle on the resin and every crystal inside. If you use moonlight, move it before the morning sun reaches it.
