Third-Eye Communicator Care Guide
Your Third-Eye Communicator is designed to be worn and treasured. These simple steps will help protect its finish, stones, and structure.
Caring for your crown
Your Third-Eye Communicator needs very little. The most important habit is simple: keep it dry. Take it off before showering, bathing, saunas, or swimming. Water is especially hard on the fluorite, the softest of its three stones.
When you take it off, support the centerpiece with one hand so it doesn't swing. Give the back of the centerpiece and the chain a quick wipe with a soft, dry cloth, since they touch your forehead and hair.
If it ever looks dull, polish the smooth silver lightly with a silver polishing cloth, keeping the cloth off the stones and out of the filigree openings, where it can catch. A soft, dry makeup brush lifts dust from the filigree.
A few more things to keep in mind:
- Keep it out of long, direct sunlight, which can fade the fluorite and amethyst.
- Set it down gently. Moonstone is softer than most stones and can chip with a hard knock.
- Put it on after skincare, makeup, and hair products have dried.
If the silver ever looks a little yellow or gray, that's natural tarnish. A few light strokes with a silver polishing cloth will bring it back. A little darkening deep in the filigree gives it a lovely antique depth, so polish only as much as you like.
Where to keep it
Lay your crown flat, centerpiece face up, with the chain laid out straight or coiled loosely so it doesn't tangle.
If you live somewhere humid or near the coast, seal it in a zip bag or container with an anti-tarnish strip when you're not wearing it, with nothing resting on the centerpiece. Never store it in the bathroom, where steam speeds tarnish.
If you'd like to keep it on your altar, choose a spot out of direct sunlight and away from candle flames, and rest it on a soft cloth or a selenite plate. Silver tarnishes a little faster in open air, so give it a light polish now and then.
Cleansing its energy
To energetically cleanse and recharge your crown, rest it under the light of the full moon overnight, or lay it on a selenite crystal or plate. Both are gentle and never touch the silver. If you use moonlight, move it before the morning sun reaches it.
